At this time I am not taking any prescription drugs for Fibromyalgia.  I am trying to stick to over the counter at this point.  However, I think when you’re in pain, it is a definite option.

Drugs for Fibromyalgia Warriors:

  • Link of drugs prescribed for Warriors: This is a link on with a list of currently Prescribed drubs for Fibro Warriors.
  • Low Dose Naltrexone:  Go to my previous blog post for information on this exciting new therapy that isn’t well known.
  • Guaifenesin Protocol:  If you are searching for info, you’ll probably come across this.  Click on it to find out more.  I don’t personally buy into it and think the research is outdated.  However, Dr. Amand is very passionate about his work and it’s your duty as a patient to form your own opinion.  Here is an interesting article refuting the protocol.

Vitamins & Supplements Useful for Fibromyalgia Warriors:

Flax Seed Oil Supplement & Fish Oil Supplement:  These pills contain Omega 3, 6 & 9 fatty acids which are not only healthy for your heart but are known to calm your central nervous system and immune system.  These are highly recommended for Fibro Warriors.  Since going corn free I switched to: Twin Labs Omega 3-6-9.

Multi-vitamin:  It makes good sense to keep your vitamins in balance.

Super B-Complex: This helps with fatigue!  If I could choose 1 vitamin this would be it!  I know Warriors who take B Vitamin shots as well.

Buy the Book.  The Complete Guide to Healing Fibromyalgia by Deborah Mitchell.  This book isn’t groundbreaking BUT there is an extensive section about vitamins and supplements that could help.  It’s worth it just for that.  (It’s what tipped me off to Super-B!)
